Copper alloy 955, made of iron, nickel, aluminum, and copper, has a typical hardness of 195 BHN, which is a result of the high-strength and heavy load bearing traits. The aluminum content in the copper alloy UNS C95500 provides high-strength and makes it one of the few bearing bronzes capable of being heat-treated.
